Remains the best tax software available

Easy and simple to follow. There are some areas that need some work. One problem area is the Charitable donation default for "Standard Deduction" filers. The amount was wrong each time, requiring manual entry. One other issue arose during the final checks where I had figured a penalty for failing to make an estimated payment. The software allowed me to figure the penalty then did not complete the entry. If I tried to override it an error was displayed. The only way out was to select "allow IRS to figure penalty" even though I had done so previously.
All-in-all this software is superior to the others.

I have used Turbo Tax for five consecutive years and I have been very happy with the performance of the software each year. The guides and instructions are easy to follow and helpful when you have questions.

Good, but one bug that won't be fixed in time

Good in general, but there is an issue with the MA filing that is a known issue with TurboTax and they are not bothering to fix for us to file properly. Will not use Turbo Tax next year unless I confirm they fix this issue

I've used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years. This year there was some confusion about payment. I entered my checking account info with a date for payment of my federal tax. Once I got to the "file" part, Turbo Tax gave me two choices for payment: pay $40 and have federal tax payment deducted from my state refund or use a credit card to make a payment. I wanted it deducted from my checking account. I think this happened once I selected to pay $20 to have my state e-filed. I changed it back to mailing in my state and Turbo Tax did not ask for my credit card. I don't understand why this happened.
