Requirement for Intuit account is intrusive

This year I had to enter my 1099 information by hand instead of importing it from the financial institution. This was to avoid your intrusive requirement that I create an Intuit account in order to be able to import from the financial institution. I know there is no technical reason for requiring this. You have a business interest in having your customers create the Intuit account and are purposely crippling a feature of the product in order to force paying customers to do something they may not wish to do. This issue is new in 2021, so I know there is no technical reason for the Intuit account requirement. It was not a requirement last year.
Apart from that the product works fine and I was able to file my taxes without issue, so I'll give it 3 stars instead of 1.

It's very simple I like simple. I have been using it since 2016. The thing I really like is its up to date on the new tax laws. Most tax companies and accounts don't do this it is the main reason I use Turbo Tax. In 6 years I have only had to pay in once and it was a small amount, and that was my bad.

I like the fact that I can get live help. In about 3 tries this year, I got one individual that really wasn't much help.
