More difficult this year

I have been using your tax software since it was MacInTax. This year was the first year that I had difficulty for it to accept what I entered and then going back and making corrections was very difficult.

Easy if you don't want to paste

It's fast and easy to use, but there is no way to copy and print W2 info. Also, the login downloads for some records failed.

Super easy with past use setup/import

Clear progress and easy explanation for each step. Resources for those steps that are not so easy. Review can use improvement: asks for name of (forgot to enter) Payer, but without any reference. If you had several payers, and forgot to enter the name of two, etc. So you have to navigate back to the original entry.
Also very annoying they do not mention a $20 fee for filing state taxes, until the last page. Back, back, back 9 times to uncheck that box. Tsk, tsk. After being such a good service it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Turbo Tax difficulty

I have used Turbo Tax since at least 2011, this year, I had many issues. I had to uninstall and re-install the program 3 times to complete the Federal return. Even though I bought Turbo Tax deluxe, I was not able to complete the State return. I spent over 3 hours with the help desk with no avail (Haley and Kenya tried every avenue and were super nice.) The time that this took, I could have completed manually quicker!

Dislike is not strong enough!

Far too complicated. Forces defaults, like 1040SR and makes it difficult to change. Forces other defaults that do not allow user to understand fully what is being decided. I do not like Turbo Tax, but I blame the IRS for the complexity. Another awful experience.

Easy Tax Prep

Pros: easy to use, easy transfer of info from prior years, easy to access forms or answer the questions which seem to cover all topics.
Cons: using my laptop I could not access the boxes to fill in until I added a mouse to my laptop, couldn't find help for this even online so I spent quite a bit of time to figure this out...frustrating. Other con was I wanted to fill in a specific form and not the worksheet, but it kept sending me to the worksheet when going to the forms option.
Overall: I would definitely buy this program again. I have used it for decades and this is the first problems I have ever had.

TurboTax only way to go

My yearly filing is very simple but I use Turbo Tax to make sure I Have all my info on record. It's just easy and I never have give it another thought.

Turbotax slower than last year

I realize Intuit made many changes and modification and supposedly upgrades to TurboTax but, it appears to be slower than 2020. On area I notice is very slow is the W2 if you can't Import and need to input figures. Perhaps attempting to speed the program with changes will help.
