I have used Turbo Tax for years to do Federal and state returns. After I filed state return, I went back on turbo tax and the return changed do to the Child Credit which was not there when I first filed. I now have to file an amended return. Why was it not there in the first place?

Every year it takes me longer and always trouble

Been rejected twice...hope the third one goes through. Problem with the matching pin which I didn't remember we did last year. If so I had no record so I created two one for me and one for my wife. Also TurboTax wanted info on my daughter (dependent) which required me to put in numbers from the 1040 Which I couldn't do because my first two pages were not visable to me as they were internal to the tax return inside the computer...ended up just deleting a legitimate dependent just to get the taxes done!!!

Wasn't up to par this year - technical problems mo

When I started, TurboTax (TT) crashed numerous times (Force Quit) when trying to retrieve last year's data. Initially, it could not even find that. Then, after these problems there were problems with KeyChain, very cumbersome. When I finally imported last year's info and started to work on my return yesterday, it didn't seem to be there today when I went back to work on it. Finally, I got that straightened out. Also, though I had no problems with the tax aspect of the software, it seemed much more cumbersome and non-intuitive than in all the prior years (many) that I've used TT. All in all, TT did not work smoothly this year and I'll likely look at other software options next year!

A little more difficult this Year
