A better experience than past filings

I have used tax software and online services in the past, both TurboTax and others. In addition, for the last two years I paid for a CPA's office to prepare and file. I didn't get any real benefit from having my taxes prepared by the CPA's office and decided I could try and tackle the job myself again. The current version of the TurboTax software made that very easy on my Mac computer.

You pulled up my past Turbo Tax returns and populated the current return with SOME of the information. You asked me to input information about my past returns when you already had the information.

Turbo Tax takes the pain out of filing taxes

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for the past six years. So, I kind of know what information I need to gather before I begin my taxes. Filing out the questions in Turbo Tax is the easy part. It's tracking down all of the forms, income, deductions, and such that takes the most time. Since I would have to do this anyway if I were having an accountant prepare my taxes, I save a lot of money by doing it myself with Turbo Tax.

First Time Needing Form 1116

I have used Turbo Tax for years and love it. This is the first year my foreign income was enough that i needed to include Form 1116. It was very frustrating, as Turbo Tax didn't do it "automatically" and i had to do a lot of online research to be able to complete the form and pass the "review" so i could file my return. Very disappointing.

TT could improve

The summaries could be better, by showing a list of items that make up a total, rather than sending us back to the individual forms. There is an issue with reject code IND-132. You should make a correction in the software (reference 2/20/22 gbraun51 answer in community)
