Thorough but confusing in some spots

I used TT the last 2 years after having a CPA do my taxes for several years because my tax situation has gotten simpler as I have gotten older. While I do think TT is very thorough and does good job of covering everything...I found it to be very confusing in a few spots. But in the end I was able to get it all done and feel very confident that it is correct!

The entry sections for "Personal Info". "Federal Taxes" and "State Taxes" are easy to understand and enter requested information, save for the "Minimum Alternative Tax" which could be improved for easier comprehension. Problems arise with the "File" section which is much to repetitious and obtuse. The requirements to re-eneter bank account information that was entered twice the previous year is annoying especially having to dig out a checkbook and read the funny encoding numbers. Repeated attempts to get me to purchase audit representation are annoying given I have already been told by the program I have basically zero chance of being audited. The attempt to extract $20 from me for a state e-file just confuses the process of e-fililing the federal return and print the state return for hand delivery to the nearby county office building. Get rid of the state e-file charge or make it less intrusive on the completion process so I don't get to the end and find myself printing my federal return because the program unchecked the federal e-file box. If you clean up the "File" section as outlined above and the program will get 5* next year.

Wanted information that was rejected to E-File.

I tried to E-File twice and it wanted last year's 5 digit pin, I filed by mail last year, there was No Pin. Then it wanted my AGI from 2020, the amount was correct but was rejected.
