State Return Software Not Good

The software did not do a good job of recognizing that Medical Insurance Premiums and HSA disbursements are deductible for New Jersey returns. New Jersey, unlike most states, includes Medical Premiums and HSA contributions in W2 state wages, but allows them as medical deductions on the income tax return.

I had trouble downloading an on-line purchase of turbotax. I called turbotax help center and they assisted me in getting it all set up. Using turbo tax is always easy; very clear directions and explanations.

Not Easy to Navigate

Since I am a quicken user, I thought the data interface/download would be painless. I couldn't get it to work. So I had to enter all of my 1099 info. Also some forms came up that didn't make sense like child care credit -- no kids. It was cumbersome to navigate and not intuitive

TurboTax is quite easy to use. But I would recommend doing a good job of organizing data before starting the process.

Disappointed this year

I have used TT for years and have always been happy.....This year I am very unhappy. I finished taxes six weeks ago...But TT would not let me file because of for 8915-f "wasnt available"... I checked as other tax preparation software and they did in fact have form 8915F available.....I know this would have taken IT 8 hours to plug and play....Frankly, I wont purchase TT next year unless this issue is addressed and I will go to another software.
