Way too hard to use

Entering Data is easy. 20 minutes, MFJ. But I always have a few forms left over that TT never asked me about. Now I spend the next 7 evenings, almost becoming a CPA myself, trying how to address the sale of a home bequeathed to me, and 401(a) contributions! TT never asked the right questions, and lead me astray with what they had. (Hint: the answers are - Short term investment, and not an IRA) It took TONS of Googling to get a consensus of how to address just these 2 items using TT. We'll see in a few months if I did them correctly, but TT was NO HELP! I say this every year, but this year I mean it: next year - Quicken.

Why is State filing so expensive?

My state (Michigan) wants me to file electronically, but TurboTax charges an addition $25 (50% of my charge for the program). Furthermore, when I ask TT to print a copy of my return, only the Federal portion printed. I got one copy of the Michigan return out (to file on paper), but I can't find a way to print it again. Frustrating when I thought I was done!

Turbo Tax is good, but...

Overall the product is good. Unfortunately, the question/response process wanders down totally irrelevant paths like asking about forms related to children when children haven't been in this household for decades. Further, online support is abysmal. Searching for specific help becomes circular without good filters. Lastly, a login related issue could not be resolved as the verification processes did not work properly.
