EZ to use software that never misses a single detail of the current IRS filing instructions. Electronic filing couldn't be more convenient.

Turbo Tax, JWROS

One thing I ran into concerns download of data from financial institution. My wife and I have a JWROS (Joint With Right of Survivor) account. If you are not paying attention, any taxable income gets loaded for both spouses resulting in x2 the actual income. After some fiddling, deleting and reloading, I noticed I could uncheck JWROS on my wife's data download and that solved the problem. Suggest Turbo Tax check for double entry like this and warn for user's review.

Surprise

Program was doing great until I e filed and printed my payment voucher. I was surprised to find form 8283 printed. Never seen this form and it was not completely filled in. I had to try to figure out how and where to enter the source data, not easy. I also then needed to get the 8283 signed by an appraiser! Not a good surprise. Still working to figure out where to enter data.
