Reoccurring issues year over year not being fixed

For 3 years now it has said taking standard deduction will give the biggest refund but in reality I get a bigger refund in total (federal plus state) if I itemize. Not sure why Turbotax can't determine that and hope not too many have fallen victim to the automated miscalculation by turbotax. Also, I entered a wrong amount, went back and corrected, then during the check it found it was wrong but had me make the change on the form directly instead of adjusting automatically. I could see this leading to a bigger error having the user do a manual correction that turbotax already "knows" what needs to be done. Why didn't it adjust automatically when I corrected in the deductions section to start with?

Pretty good, but...

It's extremely difficult to make changes, then remove any applicable forms that may have applied at first but after revision are no longer necessary -- even if numbers are changed to zero and boxes are checked that say remove or does not apply. So, once I apply something, even if it's a test or "experiment", I can no longer remove it!

My last year to use TT.

I am 81 years old--my PC is 10 years old. My PC wants to open/do what all the social media portals on the PC wants to do==and I do not do social media. If I open my pc for a stated reason the computer will open with multiple pages/companies who want me to USE/purchase their service/product. A simple search FO TT will open with pages of other tax prep services/companies. Added===to open TT requires at least 10 minutes of grinding/loading++ then another grinding to update the TT system. I have used TT for probably 25 o 30 years---no more--I will take my tax info to a prepare----a lot cheaper in my time, and probably my money for buying TT + == and then paying whatever TT tax charges to process and e-file my Federal and state taxws BYE BYE!!!!

I've noticed over the years that Turbotax is getting less easy to work with. It's almost frustrating at times. Before, if it found errors, it would take you to the location within the program to fix it. Not now, you have to search and guess where the error is.

Couldn't Xfer Last Years Filing into TurboTax
on March 29, 2022

Totally frustrating. We have been using Turbotax for the past 10 yrs. When we started this years turboTax app and attempted to make use of last yrs filing info (as opposed to MANUALLY re-entering everything) the app asked for our files with a ".taxes2020" suffix. All of the TurboTax files are normally saved with a .pdf suffix, including this years. So when I prepare to load TurboTax next year, where am I supposed to find the file with the ".taxes2021" suffix to upload, please???
