Had Some Problems

We've been using TurboTax for over a dozen years. The past 2 years have been a challenge. This year I had to get customer support on the line to help me install it. When I imported documents, some were missing some relevant information. Finally, On a sheet describing some stock we sold, the stock titles printed out in what looked like Chinese.

Nice but checkout could be improved

Easy to walk through. Would be nice if you use it one year your info to finalize taxes are updated to the new year. Had to open last years file a couple of times. Also should not have to answer the same check out questions and bank info for the state or i should have been given the choice to use the same info that i had just updated in federal.

Excellent except for one nuisance

I use my Personal Deduction rather than the larger Federal Standard Deduction because it helped with my state taxes which requires me to take a very small State Standard Deduction if I take the Federal Standard Deduction. However, whenever I run the review, TurboTax forces the $600 Charity Deduction for my Federal as if I was using the Federal Standard Deduction. I have to override this line item and set it to $0 every time.

Little disappointed in the details for the stimulus question
should have choice e file and print federal for records. Then do the state choice e file or mail and print for records or simply print for your records and use it to review the choice on filing each separately

If you can read and click enter. You can easily do your taxes with Turbo Tax. I feel very confident when I finish our taxes because of all the questions that Turbo Tax asks. They check and double check.

Turbo Tax saves me a trip.

Turbo Tax saves me multiple trips to a tax preparer who generally does the same thing as Turbo Tax, only they charge more. the last time I used a tax preparer was to close my deceased father's estate and I had to do the research myself to save me a trip to another state.

I used Turbo Tax Deluxe for the 15th year and again it was a very simple process. I collected my statements and then spent several hours walking through the program. And, I actually paid too much in estimated taxes so a refund will be processed by the Feds.
