The software works ok on Mac OS had a issue with autosave I don't know why this keeps happening but this is really annoying.

Loosing my returns

Turbo Tax is a good user-friendly interview format, but sadly I might have to switch from turbo tax. I have used turbo tax CD desk top version for at least 15 years, but I just realized that my entire 2018 tax return (that was e-filed on time in 2018) is empty (none of my data shows when I click the 2018 TT icon like it does for the other years). This is the third time this has happened to me despite being so careful at saving my returns during and at the end of the process. Last year I had to recreate 2016 federal and state tax returns to answer an inquiry notice from the state department of revenue. The year before that, in 2019, I had to recreate the 2017 federal and state tax returns to respond to a state tax inquiry. In 2017, my completed 2017 return just needed to be reviewed and e-filed. I saved it, and when I returned to the program and clicked the OK button to allow TT updates ( I didn't have a choice but to click ok) the return opened up and my return was gone. It prompted me to start a new one from scratch. Today while I was on the phone with a TT rep, I discovered that my 2018 return was gone and the program prompted me to start a new one as if I hadn't already filed it back in 2018. Fortunately, for 2016 and 2017, I still had the CD software (purchased from the store) and hard copies of the returns so, I was able to recreate them. I still don't fully understand what is happening. I will be searching my hard drive to see if I can find a saved PDF of the saved returns, but that will take some time. The Turbo Tax rep I spoke with today and all the reps I have talked to this year have been very helpful and courteous. I am using the free promotional TT basic live service that ends March 30, 2022. I am having a tough time keeping my returns. I would hate to have to switch, but I am concerned that my returns will keep disappearing. If you are wondering, I can find the PDF files for the other tax years that were saved on this computer including the ones I recreated for 2016 and 2017. This all has been a very "taxing" experience. Pun intended!!

I did it!!! and I wasn't sure I could. The steps are clear and easy. The thing I found interesting is that you want to keep going. I thought i would get bored and tired of it fast and i did'nt

W-2G entries were PAINFUL

It took 15-20 minutes to enter EACH W-2G, and I had plenty to enter. Big glitch in Turbo Tax this year which was really frustrating. I've used TT for over 15 years and this was a first. Spend nearly 5 hours on just this step!
