TurboTax makes it easy to consider all of the standard and most, if not all, the nonstandard tax situations and asks easy to follow questions to ensure your forms are properly completed and accurate.

Could be improved for US citizens earning abroad

The software could be better set up for the case where a US citizen lives and earns 100% of their income abroad and all of their investment accounts are foreign (e.g. Canadian). It's quite onerous to go through the software for these cases, especially for the foreign investment accounts where there is dividend income and the forms and categories don't align with the US forms, etc...TT assumes the US forms only .

Great Turbo Tax

I filed our taxes in a timely manner except for the fact that since I am a retired railroader it took me a tad longer to find the RRB 1099 forms needed to fill out my return. Maybe Turbo Tax can be programed to make it easier for me to find these forms since once I load the CD into my computer that it knows I have filed previous years with Turbo Tax because it downloads some tax information from the previous year's filings. But once I locate my forms needed the rest is fairly easy to complete.

turbo tax mediocre at best

there is a glitch with the aca. had a hard time filing taxes kept getting rejected still do not know if it will be accepted. my question is why does the aca even matter anymore?
