Very smooth data entry this year. I recommend a help button on the data entry screen for major concepts known to cause problems for users.

I normally have filed paper and find the electronic filing not much easier or convenient. First attempt of e-file IRS rejected because Turbo rounded the AGI. This comment is considering the extra cost on top of tax owed. I don't appreciate the IRS promotion of paid e-filing it should be free for all or the paper option should remain available.

This year there were problems!

I have been using TurboTax for many years. This year there were questions it did not ask, and if I had not known from previous years, I would not have known to enter, nor how to enter, numbers from the education forms. I had to go back and try to find where to enter them. I also spent an afternoon working on my 1040, and a week later came back to finish and everything was gone. I am pretty sure I saved them; and if I didn't, then TurboTax should not have let me close without asking me if I wanted to save them. Either way was very frustrating. I was surprised we could not bring in our numbers for my husband's W-2 from the web as we have also done for a number of years. All in all it was a very frustrating experience, when generally I've been quite pleased. If I didn't know what I knew from previous years, this year could have been a big failure, especially when it came to the college costs for my children which needed to get put in. So many former questions didn't seem to be asked; and it was assumed we knew what to do. A new user would have missed several key needed numbers. I hope they go back and fix these problems, making it more user friendly again.

Had to revise my review to poor. Turbotax would not let me correct the AGI & kept defaulting to a rounded value for the e-file which the IRS rejected again! Frustrating. Had to finally give up and file by mail. Don't know if I'll try again next year. Feel like I'm being punished for trying to file electronically.
