Payment and refund options should be easier to acc

TIP: Make it simple to over-ride the amounts of estimated tax payments without having to "trick" the software into it.
Make it clear when and where to enter the bank information for direct debits and direct deposits. This doesn't show up until you hit the File stage. Meanwhile, you can't find it in help and I had to resort to Google search.

Been using product for years and love it. BUT.....

The product works well and I never really have a problem. However, there is one area that could be improved. I own a co-op in NYC, and your questions regarding mortgage interest deductions are not designed for co-ops. My co-op management company is listed as the lender on the 1098 and I am listed as the borrower. But I do not have a mortgage on my apt. It is listed this way on the 1098 cause the co-op management company has a mortgage on the entire property, and my deduction is for the portion of my maintenance that goes to paying off their mortgage.

I've been using Turbotax for over 20 years and each year it seems to get worse. Yes it does the basic job but it's not as fast/efficient as in the past for me. It didn't pull as much info from last years taxes so I had to manually enter that data AND every time it updated I had to go find the software key (every time). There is no email contact only a phone number is provided on the website. I will be looking for something else next year since I have to re-enter my data, it makes more sense to find something better more cost effective.

One concern I had doing this year's return was when I tried to download my last year's tax I should have been able to go straight into my tax to edit 1099R and continue from there. But the first request was to enter my W2 info. I was confused and had to call for direction, because I don't have W2, just Retirement 1099Rs and Social Sec income.

The product installation did not follow the printed guidelines; never asked for our license code. But, when we finally called and spoke with a gentleman, he was most helpful in resolving the issue.
