Trying to do an amendment was way to difficult and not user friendly. I had it completed and the program just shut down and lost all my work.

Missing Information or Context

When filling out my Alabama Tax Return (Form 40), Turbo Tax asked me to enter amounts for property values for a "Casualty Savings Account" which I had no knowledge or involvement. There was one other situation (I can't remember the name) which didn't apply to me, but it required an amount to be entered. When I tried to enter a 0 amount for both, it told me I had errors on my form. If these doesn't apply to me, why am I required to enter any amount?

TurboTax good and bad

The 2021 return preparation went well but the 2020 return preparation did not. For 2020 Congress made changes to the MMD requirement. TurboTax could not handle those changes and I had to file by paper for 2020. It was very upsetting but I am glad things went well this year. For 2021 I had trouble downloading the software. I make a mistake by contacting "ask crew." It was no help at all. Then I contacted 'customer support" and they solved my problem.

Turbo Tax is easy to use. Like that it loads in information from the previous year and that you can start and stop as often as needed.
