Not as slick as it once was

I've used TurboTax for a couple of decades and had multiple problems this year. The program used to be flawless. Worst of all when trying to pay for my state e-file, the window that opened would not scroll, but disappeared instead, then the entire program hung. I had to end-task three times before deciding to change the settings on my monitor so that the window would be small enough to be readable without scrolling. Terrible execution from TurboTax. I used to rave about the program. Now I am looking for alternatives.

I was not satisfied fully with 2021 Turbo tax.There were checkmark entry for Disaster relief payment received. I never said yes for that entry. It marked on my Federal wk sheet.

Another Helpful Year

I've used turbtax since I began working and doing taxes at 16, and ten years later I'm still using and still thankful for their system. Taxes were more complicated this year, and their support phone line was a great help. I was on the phone for a long while, but honestly, it wasn't a bother once I got transferred from tech services to tax services and confirmed our numbers made sense and were reasonable for our situation. A big help. Oddly enough, I usually look forward to tax season, because I think TT makes it oddly satisfying plugging in numbers and seeing results (i.e. debts & returns).

Hidden Fees, they need to put it on the box.

I was charged $45 dollars for "premium fee." I never clicked on adding a premium fee and I could not take it off.
