Too much redundant entry required

I had to obtain my wife's driver's license and my ID card to obtain info for the federal return, then return them to my wife and my wallet. Then I had to get them again for the state return. There was no indication that this information would be needed again. The same thing with bank and credit card accounts. Then, if you wanted to check if everything is OK later, repeat the process. How many people have memorized their spouse's driver license expiration date? TurboTax can institute a single-entry procedure for information needed in multiple places. Otherwise would be a 5!
