TurboTax has gotten more confusing and cumbersome

The application has gotten more confusing, convoluted and cumbersome. I ran all the error checks 3x and then I was printing out my completed return I got a pop-up telling me there was an error and could not file it. The help isn't always helpful, and the in-app tips and pop-up help topics are not nearly as helpful as they used to be. If I had another option to file electronically I would use it.

I have used TurboTax since 1997. It has gotten better each and every year. User friendly but if help is needed, there is a way to contact a real person for that help.

Good tool as long as you don't make a mistake

Somehow, I managed to add an extra letter to my last name on the 1040. Turbotax did not catch it. I submitted my federal return. I got a text from Turbotax indicating that my return had been rejected and I would have to do an amendment. The text directed me to my email where I had a message with the following error code from the IRS: R0000-500-01. I went to my Turbotax tool, but the tool did not in any way identify the error. I went back to my saved file and found the mistake and fixed it. I then went through the amendment process as the email indicated. When I was done, Tubotax would not let me e-file my amendment because it said I did not e-file my initial return. There appears to be a glitch between the IRS software and the Turbotax software. Eventually, I was able to delete my amendment and e-fil my "updated" 1040.
