2021 version keeps crashing

Despite latest Mac OSX updates and TurboTax updates, this year's software kept crashing about once per hour - seemed to be pretty random

Turbo Deluxe

My biggest mistake was not looking at the back of the box for Turbo Deluxe. It didn't come with a free state as it had in years past. Now you have to purchase Turbo Premier to get that. It cost me $40 to get the state. I'll look more closely next year. All worked fine. Just wasn't happy with the surprise!

2022 TurboTax Deluxe FLAWED

This year's software is full of glitches. A routine update when I was halfway through doing my taxes wiped out all of my information. I also encountered random do-loops that hampered progress in several locations, as well as bizarre error messages. The very poor electric car tax credit section, which required far too much user effort that was wasted after entry by a command to go to the IRS website to double-check the program's calculation, was the last straw. I doubt I'll be using TurboTax again next year.

Close But Still Have Issues

Of course the calculations are done correctly. That is not a problem. What is bothersome is when we check some of the boxes then go back through a review or edit those same boxes have to be checked again. When going through the edit process several times rechecking, rechecking, and rechecking becomes quite the bother. Also there are decisions being made concerning foreign tax credits that are confusing. Been using TurboTax for several years now and we still do not know what is happening and how foreign taxes are being handled. My wife, the accountant, says this program is barely one notch better than completing the federal return by hand. So there your have it.
