TurboTax has improved over the years I have been using it (it was always a good program). This year it found an error when reviewing my Federal forms. It said I needed to provide a value for line Q. No indication of what line Q was for. I just put in 0 and went on, thinking I would find it later. Never ran into line Q in the program because it doesn't give you that information. In the end I printed out all 131 pages and went over it. Finally found line Q and 0 was correct so all was good. There were several instances where more context would have been helpful.

Some issues with Turbo Tax

For two years running, the program gives me error messages to add data for Form 2210 where it's very clear I don't have to file it. I pulled out the forms manually to make sure.
The screens for payment don't allow me to use my Password Manager to autofill any information at all. Intuit is the only software vendor I use that is like this.
I had trouble getting to the "Continue" button on the bottom of the payment screen. I had to exit and pull it up several times.

ITS OK

I always have a problem entering the numbers in their spaces. It always does this every year. I have to hit a certain button to make it work. Not happy about that.

RELIABLE TAX SOFTWARE

I have used TURBOTAX for over 10 years to file my federal and state income taxes. I love the feature where it imports your previous year's tax return information and let's you know what you entered the previous year. This helps you be consistent and not overlook anything.
