Turbo Tax is really great and easy to use

The only problem I encountered with Turbo Tax filing 2021 taxes was Form 1116 and trying to figure out how to delete it. After an hour or so I figured out that going to Forms in the upper right of the screen and going to Form 1116 and hitting the delete button in the lower left of the center of the screen did it so I could e-file my return. First time I've run into this problem with Turbo Tax but I see that there are a number of other people that encountered the same problem, How to delete From 1116.

I hate TurboTax

I hate having my checking account information listed in turbo tax from prior years with all the information for review and then have to re-enter the same information on the same screen. I hate purchasing Turbotax from you on line and putting the license number in and then when I go to file my return you make me login online and then after I do that on the next sceen when I go to pay my EFILE fee you make me log in again. that is why I hate Turbo Tax.

This is the most complicated year yet. Two LONG days and a hour and a half on the phone with a tec.who couldn't figure out my issue either. doing something different next year.

Too dependent on display settings

I have used TurboTax for 26 years. The past 2 years have been very cumbersome. I have to adjust settings just to enter the license code -- multiple times just guessing. This year I tried to eFile my state taxes and I never could get the payment screen to populate.

Turbotax is pretty intuitive to use but my issue with them is the pricing. They grab you with the cheap software costs but any additional service after that such as adding a new state or filing state tax costs more than the software itself. I understand this business model is where they make more money on the services after the initial software purchase. Very conniving and not at all appreciated here
