Great Program

I have nightmares about back in the "olden-days" when I used to figure my taxes at the kitchen table with a calculator, pencil, etc. It used to be awful, and I dreaded it every year. TubroTax has removed that dread.

Terrible waste of time and energy

Fill out the whole return then went to the check for error part. Said we had an error having to do with Credits for Qualifying Children. We have no dependents and clearly stipulated that when filling out the form.. "Advance child tax credit payments" What on earth is this? I don't think I will ever use our software again. I am shaking. I am so mad.

I have always been "stuck" with doing taxes for myself and also need to help a few family members get their information ready to file, it gets more complicated year-after-year and I have a lot of years filing my own taxes. Mom did her own too. I am dyslexic (mild) but have "work arounds for the little stuff" but numbers are my downfall especially transferring numbers from forms or paper to other paper or to computer input areas. Turbo Tax is so user friendly, bless those who write the information we read, that I had no problems with using their products for over 10-15 years. IRS has been particularly painful in not getting their new forms to tax programs, but online/phone help gave me a link with all the missing forms and what day they would be released as I was stopped from submitting electronically till the forms showed up. Turbo Tax said 1/27 and on 1/27 the download/update solved that issue and my taxes are electronically on their way to IRS and my state! Earliest filing in my lifetime and I am really really old :)

I love that you can be guided through all income and deduction possibilities, so you don't miss anything. Shows all the new things for this year. I also love Its Deductable valuation of items given to charity. The audit risk feature is very helpful. Extremely easy to E-file and print.
