A few glitches in some of the forms

Had trouble with form 1098. It was a home equity loan that we had, but we did not have s staring balance. We borrowed mid year and paid it off within a few months. TT did not like the fact that we had a 0.00 starting balance and would not file. Ended up deleting that entry as it did not have any effect

WHY are updates needed EVERY SINGLE time I log in?

Turbo Tax is VERY easy to use and understand. The one drawback is that EVERY SINGLE time I log in, it updates. This is annoying and time consuming. It makes me wonder what my tax return is missing, since the LAST update?? I would have given a 5 star rating if it weren't for this annoying feature.

TurboTax is great but

Turbo Tax is great but it presented a few challenges this year (some of which have been ongoing). SEP Contributions - it does not prompt for these. Every year I have to dig to figure out where to input them. Selling a vehicle used in a business - very difficult to get the allowable depreciation. I would think the software would calculate it as it has my records for the last 20 years... Schwab - it would not interact with TurboTax which was very painful to have to enter by hand all the transactions. Other than this it was fine.

this year you already indicated what type of account to direct deposit too, last year I did not see that I had too manually which I did not. The e-file went through waited longer then normal to get refund. Only issues this year program does not want to shut down like it should .

I've used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. It seems to get better and easier each year. As an accountant, I would advise others and have advised others to use Turbo Tax.
