Effective, Inexpensive, but technical problem

Easy to use and doesn't cost much. However, the last few years I have been having problems with the automatic updates that are required whenever you start the application. The only way around this has been to uninstall the program and reinstall it. It frustrating enough to do taxes, but then having to deal with software issues when you're trying to do them only adds to the frustrating day

using Turbotax for long time

Easy to use and great product. I do not like to write review but TurboTax is a great tool to use to file taxes. Only thing I do not like is that I have to pay for my state to file but Federal to file is free.

First Experience With TurboTax

I have previously used paper forms for federal and state. TurboTax data entry was straightforward. Info links were generally helpful but not as detailed as IRS instrucitons. For example, the child care tax credit calculation was invisible compared to IRS Form 8812. Also, I had to search for the IP PIN entry rather than being prompted for it. Time to prepare, including fixing things I missed the first time around, was more than IRS paper forms but I understand that the future of paper forms is uncertain.

Turbotax is easy to use. Instructions are easy to follow than the other tax software that I had used before.. I will use turbotax again next year.

Turbo Tax makes it easy to file

Turbo Tax gets easier and easier to use every year. Used it for at least 7 years. Had issues at first with loading the program. It would hang up, not open, etc. Updates would take 10 minutes. Seemed to resolve after a few updates. It didn't seem to be a computer problem, but software issue as there were questions from other users with the similar types of issues. Works fast now as it always has in the past. Makes it real easy to file taxes.

Turbo Tax Eats Poop

I've been using Turbo Tax for about 15 years and am about to quit and move on to a new provider. I have all of my info entered for several weeks now and am just waiting on the Company to update for the 8915-f. I know the IRS took a while to finalize but there is really no reason it should take over a month to get this updated when other competitors already have it done. At this point the only reason for me to wait is that I purchased the desktop software but I'm going to move everything to Taxslayer this evening and not come back now that I wasted $50. I saw that the estimated date to include the update was moved up from 3/31 to 3/24. That's pretty embarrassing when you competitors have had it for a week already.
