Turbotax is getting old

Tired of seeing all of the "free free free" commercials - very misleading. The last two years I have not gotten one state filing for free, like I'm supposed to. Too many other tax preparation businesses that offer the same.

Software was fine but the need to upgrade the operating system is annoying. Not sure why it can't be made backwards compatible for the Mac OS. It also did not compare the child tax credit to last year and dd not let me put in the payment amount of the credit until I was almost done which made it look like I owed when I was getting a return. I am also not sure if PA charge or Turbo charges to file state but the fee to file is 20% of my return. Filing by mail to save but also should be fixed or explained in future versions.

This years version not as godd as in the past

Import functionality with financial institutions not working until second week of March 2022. Help function by line item close to useless compared to past versions. never could find ability to put notes on specific lines which was very helpful in the past

Turbo Tax is a great software

I have used Turbo Tax for a over 25 years and it has always worked well. This year there was a lot of errors when submitting the returns. Although I think this was due to the Federal and State lagging behind on forms

Never do Taxes alone again!

For years my husband and I used tax prep. individuals to have our taxes prepared. One year I watched another person do our taxes online. I realized right then that I could do that. That was the last time I paid someone else to do our taxes.
