some concerns

Things that bug me:
1) Seems like the Capital Loss Carryover for State returns should be available from the prior return but it isn't nor is clear guidance given on how to determine it. And for federal returns, it seems like TurboTax ought to be more confident about the number pulled from the prior year return. It asks in a way that casts doubt on the old number.
2) The AMT instructions refer the user to the prior year's Form 6251 which is not part of all returns - this requires some research as to where to get the data, and it seems like TurboTax ought to be able to handle this without sending me to scurry off to study it.

Turbotax has been good for us

We don't like that we need to re enter some of the same information for different pages especially for the three different filings. You would think the application can remember information from the previous page.

I like the interview method. I don't like that once i take a break, it stops interviewing. it doesn't seem to keep track. I like that it keeps my records year to year and compares. I don't like that it doesn't show me how some calculations work. That's how i used to learn to manage taxes, by knowing what to shoot for. i go through this and give it to a tax preparer.

Not intuitive - google searches may be required

There is not a "flow" within the software to allow for adjustments to be easily made after responding to questions. Items that raise flags do not take the used to the item, only reference the item which leads to countless google searches of forms and numbers. Childcare credit/ dependent care does not have enough information to help filers complete the forms accurately without additional searches.

Could be more clear

I appreciate the ease that comes with using Turbo Tax to do my taxes. However, I do find it confusing and frustrating that it states +State and 1 State included, while there is still an additional cost to do e-file state along with the federal e-file. I think it should be stated more clearly, not in small print what is actually being purchased. I also, feel the wrap up should be more clear and easy to finish when choosing to mail in state when one is unable to do the additional fee to e-file. It should have the steps in how to print and mail in State upon selecting to not e-file state and before it finishes with the ease of e-filing the federal.
