Easy to Do Your Own Taxes

I've been using Turbo Tax for years now. I love how easy it is to go through all the options to get the biggest refund. The only thing I don't like is how it doesn't give an option to print the state tax right after I e-file my federal return. It gets a little confusing having to go back in again to get to the right page to file.

Federal experience is good; State is fair

Turbo-Federal experience is good. It would be great if we knew ahead of time how much we needed in a certain section to make a difference. Going through the whole sections without this info up front is frustrating when it doesn't make a difference. All that work gathering, collating, inputting, and finding that we don't hit a certain threshold that could have easily been clarified ahead of time is time-time-time consuming and worthless. This would apply to things like donation deductions, medical deducitions, etc. On the other hand, the State of Maine help is worthless as nothing of consequence is explained! It's just enter, "if you know what this section is" is fruitless. You could just pick up a free form from the library or post office and fill it in because that's what the state form amounts to. If TurboTax would like to improve, it should be to work on the state forms; I can't imagine how it justifies paying for a second state form. I'm writing this review in the hopes that TurboTax improves its offerings. We have used it for years, and still find it exhausting.

Turbo Tax disappoints

On 3-4-2022 was told by Turbo tax Form 1116 and Schedule B will not be supported for e-filing this year. Had I known this would not have re-purchased the product. Even today they say form 1116 is available but not for all situations. I have used Turbo Tax for years, very disappointing.
