Good But Not Great Anymore

I have used TT for the last 15 years or so. In the last year, the download product for macOS has become less fun: it is is MUCH slower to apply software updates and provides insufficient software update status messages. Also, there seem to be more strange errors in the tax forms. For example, TT found errors in tax forms having nothing to do with my personal situation, such as child tax credits. I was forced to enter zeros in the forms where I should not have had to do that based on my interview results in EasyStep. It's still good and beats going to a tax preparer in my book, but the software updates and tax computation error messages are becoming annoying.

Turbo Tax - credit card payment failure

You have a major flaw in your credit payment method for state. It appears you are trying to make more money by deducting the fee from refund and making it difficult to process electronic filing of state return. Very disappointed in program. Used Turbo Tax for many years. Wasted a few hours of my life I can no longer get back. Thanks.

Turbo tax easily walked me through every aspect of my life that involved taxes. As a result, matters were simplified and explained in layman's terms that made them easily understandable.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I moved, I bought or sold investments

I love the Turbotax program. I've used another program to file my taxes but have returned to use Turbo only. I recommend this program to those wanted to prepare their own taxes.
