Turbo Tax is very great. It is smart to fetch data (files) from Fidelity and TD Ameritrade.

I really appreciate the guidance. When all is done I feel that I have covered everything accurately and in a reasonable amount of time.
My only issue is this: I purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe - Federal and State. Then I was charged an additional $40 to file the state return (California). Then ... I was charged ANOTHER $20 for an efile fee for that same California return.
I would love to hear what I missed in terms of disclosure of the two additional charges but just don't have time to call in and sit on hold for a lengthy period of time. Can anyone tell me why what I thought was "all inclusive" filing at $39.99 ultimately cost me $99.99?
