Turbotax is very good

Turbo tax did not cover Roth distribution well

We had some new circumstances this year with IRA rollovers and cashing out Roth contributions. We found that with the Roth cash out that the program did not ask if the money came out of proceeds (taxable before 59.5) or from contributions (non-taxable). WE did actually put the money back into Roth, but had we used the cash as planned the program had no way to make this distinction and would have told us our tax burden was much higher than it should have been. I do not think we should have needed to purchase the next level program for this to have been addressed properly.

Very disappointing this year

Ive been a loyal TurboTax used since the 1990's and am greatly disappointed in the 2021 edition. It has been full of bugs, pages that dont respond, won't scroll so that I can hit the "Continue" button, etc. Navigation this year is terrible. I am not sure that I will use this product in the future. In pervious years I would have rated it with 4 or 5 stars but this year I give it a solid "2". The worst problem is that it wont allow me to file electronically; it simply hangs up and dies. Awful edition.

I have been using Turbotax for over 15 years and it is always easy to use even if I have some different situations arise. I finally got my sister to start using it and she is happy that she did. I will continue to use it.
