TurboTax is easy and efficient. I save a lot of time letting the TurboTax professionals read and digest all of the tax regulations and instructions. Used to take me hours, sometimes days to prepare my tax returns.

TurboTax/IR last years AGI Wrong for E-Filing

Have been using TT for years. It filled in the AGI from last years return for e-filing. Transmitted returns and IRS immediately rejects them. Go back to TT everything looks correct. Obviously something is amiss in the way TT is submitting the returns. Good Job!

Turbo tax ain't what it used to be!!

First, I had trouble opening the download(ie- could not get past start download) Had to go to a customer service person via telephone for a fix that was somewhat convoluted. The lady who talked me thru the fix was patient. Next--I was not able to print out the worksheets I used for my records as I formerly could. Last, when I tried to file electronically my return was rejected by IRS and state as the AGI did not match, While not Turbo Tax fault (the IRS lost my return even though they cashed my check for taxes owed in 2020 and only requested I send another copy of the return earlier this year--which I did over 1 month ago), I was required to pay $20 via credit card before you would proceed with the e-file. when I received the notice that the fed and state returns were rejected, I checked the box stating I would file by mail. There was no provision to request a refund of the processing fee. The email you sent me to request a refund only applies to purchase price of the software, not for processing fees. So, I will tomorrow call the customer service # and waste another 1-2 hours resolving a simple refund.

The step by step process, while it may take a little extra time, certainly makes sure you get every deduction you can get and you don't miss anything.

CHANGED W2 LAYOUT

YOU CHANGED THE W2 LAYOUT FOR FILLING IN THE W2'S. GO BACK TO THE WAY IT USED TO BE IN PREVIOUS YEARS. INSTEAD OF STRAIGHT IN A LINE WHICH IS SO SLOW GOING FROM BOX TO BOX, GO BACK TO THE W2 LAYOUT THAT LOOKS LIKE A W2. OTHERWISE, I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR YEARS AND I LOVE IT.
