not seamless this year

This year tax forms were not ready to be used, but turbotax did not state that until after I had completed fed and state forms and began efile when it stopped and said that there needed to be another update installed later. Email from customer support showed more than one update required and estimated dates when it would be ready. Would prefer to be informed prior to going through files and then be stopped. Like to file when files are comipletely ready vs piecemeal.

.Pleased with Turbo Tax for many years. Cannot fathom why returns repeatedly being rejected this year. Only difference this year (2021) is death of spouse.

I'm retired and have a simple tax return. Filling in the necessary information is easy. The "Learn more" documentation gives me the guide I need to complete line items.
