TurboTax is NOT for ordinary people

Be warned! You have to already be a tax expert to use this product.
TurboTax is sold based on the premise that if you just answer a few simple questions and enter requested information from some forms, the program will take care of the rest. But that is not reality. You still have to know everything about taxes to finish the process.
I had a simple return to prepare. Nothing complicated. But after entering the requested information and going through the error check, TurboTax tells me that I have 15 errors. For each of the errors the program shows me the tax form and requires me to read the instructions and determine what I have to enter to fix the problem. Why pay for a program that doesn't work. I still had to call an accountant to tell me what was needed to correct the problem. Since I had to hire an accountant to help me use the program, I should have just sent everything to the accountant to begin with.
I wasted good money on a program that doesn't do what it claims. Don't make the same mistake that I did.

Forms and filing process has some big problems. Had to talk to help center 2 times this year and 21/2 hours on phone.

Turbo Tax steps you trough your tax returns by asking simple, clear, questions. You don't have to worry about which schedules to use or where tomplace the information. Turbo Tax does nit for you!

DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE

I have some sight challenges and so my screen is slightly enlarged. It forces me to scroll down to the bottom over again to get to the continuje button. The worst part, however, is the credit card payment for state taxes. You are either forced to pay an unnecessary payment of $45 or use a credit card payment multi[le screen which does not navigate to the buttons at the bottom. I was forced to tab over and oer until I finally counted how many tabs it took to get to the hidden submit button. Frustrating!!
