2021 Turbo Tax Review

There were some glitches in it this year. Never has happened in before. Multiple times I received a "not responding" and had to reload the tax program.

Bugs in dependent calculations & prior deductions

There are 2 bugs in Turbotax Deluxe. One when going through the Federal Review, the comparison of previous year and current year, same deduction was should in the table. Second when going through Federal Error check, I don't have any dependents nor am I a dependent of anyone as stated in Turbotax personal information interview, but I still need to enter an amount on the Schedule 8812 and Principal Place of Abode and Letter 6419 Information Smart Worksheet for advanced child tax credit.

Straight up. Here's what I like. I like installing the software on my PC then doing my tax return and keeping a file. This has worked well for many years. Intuit, please keep providing the software in this format.

There should be a specific website to log in to get going on your return. It kept asking questions on what level product would be appropriate & wanting you to make a purchase. As I've already made my purchase, I just want to get to log in & do my taxes.
