The guided tour makes everything easy, the download forms is very convenient and fast, the review and checking is thorough. I have been using TT for 10 years and it gets easier every year.

Turbo Tax Deluxe CD version

I have been using Turbo Tax software for 15 tax seasons, and like the step by step instructions for completing the Federal and State tax returns. One issue I had this year was the charitable deduction when using the standard deduction. Even though the amount entered was in excess of the standard deduction for a married couple of $600, it entered $300. On review it showed this number in error and changed to $600, but subsequently changed it back to $300. I believe this was a bug that was fixed since I didn't have this problem a week later.
A bigger issue was that I couldn't access last year's tax files with the saved password I had. There was nothing shown for the security question, and the one I set up years ago didn't work. It now appears that this needs to be set up each year when a new tax file password is created. I had to re-enter all prior information, and there was no record of any of the prior tax years on the tax history comparison worksheet for tax year 2021. I also was not able to sign in online to a Turbo Tax account.

E-File Trouble

TurboTax software seemed to run slower than last year. Made it all the way through filing federal and then completed the state return, no errors detected. Then, went to submit return and it wouldn't process. Called tech support and was advised I would need to mail in my documents or wait for a system update and try again. 4 days later I downloaded an update but with a new error message. Tried again the next day and it finally submitted my info, granted I never changed any info or started over on my return.

It just wasn't as easy this year to know where to enter certain information. However, all in all, I wouldn't change using TurboTax to prepare my taxes. I trust them to get things right.
