Thank Goodness for TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years, and I have found it to be clear and easy to use. Even those years when my returns were more complicated, taking me thru line by line helped enormously. I've also double-checked my returns with other tax preparers and have never found any issues or discrepancies with what the software showed me to do.

Turbo Tax is helpful but sometimes is confusing

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. This year was the most difficult because There were many items I did not totally understand. I found the help not very useful. There were parts that were not there before, and they confused this old lady. I was glad when I finally finished it. The print on many parts was small and difficult for me to read. I just hope all is well and I don't have to worry about it for another year!

Amazing!

1st time doing my taxes, yes it was a learning curve but not bad. I had previously used an accountant for all my tax issues. Turned out my accountant missed some tax deductions for my state. I kept thinking TurboTax was wrong until I contacted the IRS and found out my accountant was the one who was wrong. Not sure if I will amend the return - was only a $150 mistake against me. I trusted him and found out TurboTax is better!

Troublesome

Problem 1)
The MSI installer failed several times while attempting update the program. When the updates fail, the program becomes unusable and will not continue to run. The program had to be uninstalled and reinstalled to get it working. A CLEAN installation is REQUIRED before the problem is fixed. All existence in directories and registry entries had to be removed first.
Problem 2)
Some of the details on foreign tax on investments is difficult to understand.

You Still Need Work

Turbo Tax is very good, however, it still needs some work, as in previous years. For example, I received funds from my Tribe. These funds were asked for nor was a additional line put in for entering. This amount could of effected the sales tax deduction.
