Not-So-User-Friendly This Year (2021 Tax Year)

We've used the TurboTax since 2016. This is the first year that was problematic for us. Please find examples below.
1. The program could not find our previous return file so all info needed to be keyed in this year.
2. The questions did not seem to flow well in the energy credit section. The wording was confusing to us.
3. When working through a section and then deciding it did not apply, the program would not let us delete the section, so we had to just enter zeros.
4. When filing the federal return, the program kept prompting us to do a state return. Florida does not require a state return.
5. The FAQ/User Community section seemed to have outdated info. in the energy credit area.
6. Lastly, in completing this review, the drag box would not expand to easily review our comments.

Taxes are an uncomfortable process for us at best. This year's program snafus didn't help.

Turbo tax was a waste this year

Product was terrible this year Kept taking me to Schedule 8812 for Qualifying credits for children when we had no dependents, also took me to a no working site to validate 3rd stimulus, Would not let me take the additional $600 deduction allowed in addition to the standard deduction

I have had my taxes done by a professional for a long time. They have been simplified by life's twists and turn so I decided to do them again myself. I'm glad I did. TurboTax made it easy. I had a simple issue brought on by my own ignorance and needed to call customer service. Alexander was great. He made me feel like I was a real person and not just a number. He helped me resolve my issue without making feel foolish. Great service.

We kept getting a little pink box and the program wouldn't transmit our file until we fixed it. Your specialist, Kalia, worked us through it and we were able to e-file. She was terrific and we are grateful for her wonderful service.

Great Tax Program

I've been using Turbo Tax for about the last 14 years and it seems like it just keeps getting better and easier to use. Features like defense and your help section provide additional confidence as tax codes are always changing.
