Issues that Intuit Needs to Fix for 2022

Issues that need to be fixed for next year:
1. I entered my bank routing and account number last year. Why are you forcing this to be updated this year? Why not just ask if it's changed?
2. I entered my bank routing and account numbers for federal filing. Why do you require me to enter the same information AGAIN for state filing? Why not just ask if I want the same bank account to be used? The possibility of data entry errors goes up if the same information is required multiple times.
3. Let me choose whether to save the return and/or update the software IMMEDIATELY during the program installation. These should NEVER be updated after I file. When my computer is replaced and I need to reinstall these programs the update engine will not work.
4. When I have entered cash charitable donations and the standard deduction is used please fix your bug that auto-corrects the standard deduction back to $300 when a joint return is being filed (during the review process). Online forums suggest that the charitable donation worksheets be deleted, which is a terrible practice for those that want accurate and complete financial records.

This is my 15th year using TurboTax and I've never had a problem.
I just love how this program turns a stressful time into such a relaxed, effortless endeavor.

2021 Turbo Tax Issues Resolved

Intuit phone support was excellent for 3 program issues that seemed to be based upon non TurboTax errors, but Federal or State timing of Forms acceptance by these taxing agencies. I was particularly impressed with the ShareScreen code utility.

A little surprise with the State efiling process

Everything on TurboTax worked normally until it was time to efile; I couldn't efile the federal or state returns at the end of the tax preparatio process. I decided to just efile the federal return and not the state return - the federal return then transmitted normally. For the state return, I had to research online to look into any conflicts for my state return (North Carolina). I learned on the users page that I'll have to wait until 24 February before the final form (D-400) is ready, then I should be able to transmit the state return. I suggest that TurboTax could provide the user with a notice within the efiling process to alert state users of any issues, and direct them on how to efile the federal return separately (a piece of cake). Other than that, another good experience with TurboTax.

Turbo Tax is the GREATEST

Turbo Tax is quick and painless. It used to cost me hundreds of dollars to get my business taxes done. Doesn't take a whole lot longer to do them at home now. but the cost is much less.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
