Thankful for TurboTax

So thankful for the service provided by TurboTax. Appreciate the ability to import data and carryover information from previous returns. The software is very user friendly, and the cost doesn't break the bank. Electronic filing of the Federal and State returns as direct deposits of refunds are awesome feature and provide a super convenience. Very pleased with the product and it's ease of use for a not so pleasant yearly task!

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and letting the software guide me through has also made me more aware of all the information needed for my tax return and I understand my taxes when I am done.

Good but this year was a little buggy

Really slow. I don't remember it taking this long before. It looks like the software tries to recalculate everything after every data field, which includes non-numeric fields, such as name or addresses. This only happened on the W-2 / income section.

Bought Deluxe in Store

When adding 0 on certain sections of the State Return, it will not let you delete it after when reviewing, and a form comes up. A form which you are not eligible to fill out. There was not any way to delete it/ fix it. Now I have to mail-in my Taxes. Not sure in what way in buying the service in store is supposed to be more accommodating. Never had such a pain when paying service when turning in my taxes through website. Also, I had to pay extra for my state taxes, god knows what after getting the Deluxe which includes Federal and State Tax.

It costs $42 to file federal and $21 to file state including what it costs to buy the software! Never again.

Needs just a little something else

It is great right up to the point where your taxes have been e-filed. Then a screen comes up with the transmission details, yet there is no way to print that page. If you hit continue, that information disappears and never occurs again. That would be a nice improvement.

First time with massive problems!

Will not load on computer #1 (where all past files are). TurboTax support was not supportive. Laptop very inconvenient and seemed to skip entries. Hubby's PC allowed entry, but couldn't handle charitable deductions and wanted a bunch of child credit crap. We're in our 70's! Verified all previous entries at least twice. After 15 or so years, I won't be back.
