Turbo Tax Gets the Job Done

I was a CPA in the tax department of an international firm early in my career. I have not done tax returns professionally for many years but do like to keep up with the laws and changes. I really like the Help function to educate me as I complete the input. It gives in-depth but understandable background so I can feel the software is doing what it should be doing.

I love that it is user friendly and even if you are not an accountant or trained tax preparer you can still make the right decisions using the "learn more" guides.

It is straight forward and easy to follow. However, I have trouble going back and seeing what my return looks like at any given point. I'm sure my lack of understanding is part of the problem but I believe I should go back and see what the return looks like at any time.

easy and simple

trouble to file state, it kept saying i had to file federal before state. I filed federal, but could not file state because of a document the state had to update. every time I tried to file state i had to do federal again

Great product

Turbo Tax is great with this exception. St of WV requires SCTC form to be filed with return, but Turbo Tax doesn't include this schedule with pages "required for filing". Last year my Sr Citizens Tax credit was denied because the schedule wasn't included with my return. I had to include this schedule before my refund was issued. It delayed my refund considerably. Again, this year, this same problem still existed.

I have used turbotax for filing for many years. Purchasing the product, installing and utilization is always very simple. I trust the product with my returns each year.
