Tunbro Tax Deluxe leaves something to be desired.

Turbo Tax kept decreasing our refund due to the improper amount appearing on items 12b changing. It also said there was an error on Schedule 8812 which we did not need as we do not have children living in our house.

Turbo Tax makes filing easier.

Turbo Tax makes filing Federal and State taxes easy. Have used it exclusively since 2010. Easy to follow questions, additional information available when needed. Know customer service support is available, but have never needed it.

I have used TT since it came out and you loaded up floppy disks. I have done my own taxes since 1970. I find TT is easy to use and factually correct, which is what it claims to do. nuff said.

I rated it as average because of bugs, a clunky interface for itemized deductions, and no way to file a bug.
BUGS:
I encountered bugs that seem to be well know by the community of users:
1. The so-called form 8812 problem.
2. The charitable deductions bug that sets the value to $300 no matter what. I corrected it to the value it is supposed to be, $600. It passed verification once, but if I go back to edit the return, the app plugs in the $300 value again. I discovered that this was a problem in the 2020 app, so expect it to not be present in the 2021 app.

Both problems caused me two hours to troubleshoot until discovering the issues online. If Intuit is aware of the issues, at least communicate that they are know issues and to offer workarounds.
FEATURE IMPROVEMENT: ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS:
Another improvement that would help the preparer be more efficient is to allow alphabetizing the itemized deductions page. It is difficult and inefficient to have to scan the list for items that need to be added compared to those that were carried over from the previous year.

NO WAY TO FILE A BUG REPORT:
Because of the issues noted here, I would like to be able to file bug reports. If there is a way to do it, the process is well concealed.
