Turbo Tax made it easy to understand taxes and credits. I love the double check at the end - because I didn't file something and the return went from a payin- to a pay-out!

TurboTax is thorough and easy

The process of entering the data is clear and straightforward. I can be done in an afternoon. I DO keep all the normal tax items in a clear shoebox to be ready for the next year's tax return filing.

TurboTax Review for Tax Year 2021

Have used this for years without errors popping up. Not this year! At electronic filing it said I had three errors that needed review. One was line 12b should have been $600 for Married Filing Jointly, but TT had put in $300 instead. I corrected it manually. The other two errors were $0 dollar amounts in the Child Tax Credit area, which they should have been, since I didn't take a child tax credit. So, had to manually enter $0.00 dollars in four lines (can't remember line numbers) to get past the errors. Program worked well otherwise, but didn't catch these self-imposed errors during it's review of the forms... waited until I was actually filing to tell me I had "errors" (errors it had inserted). Thankfully I've done my own taxes for years before I started using TT, and have some accounting training, or I probably would have been a very frustrated customer on the phone to TT to try and figure out these errors. Your software has some bugs guys! Thanks.

One error not fixed from last year + no warning

The error on Charitable Donations displaying $300 instead of $600 was a waste of time for me trying to find a workaround.
Also, it would be great to be warned ahead of filing that the Maryland State forms were not yet definitive.
