Not to the usual easy standard, as in past years

Three things: 1) Not able to use tab button to work forward entering data. 2) Slow to transition. 3) Frustrating error correction, regarding charitable contributions (standard deduction versus itemized deductions)

Taxes are easy with Turbotax

I was a little nervous this year with all of my husband's retirement tax forms, but it was a breeze! Easier than I expected. I will definitely use Turbotax again next year!

Two big issues need to be addressed

All my prior turbo tax records are gone! Opened Turbo Tax 2020 to review forms from last year and they no longer exist anywhere on my computer!?!?!? Thank goodness I had a printed copy. And had to go online to find out how to enter 1098-T information because it completed that section and I never had a chance to input the data, nor was I prompted to do so. Worst experience with Turbo Tax EVER. May not use again.

Handling state returns

Easy to use but some issues with states. The first issue relates to a state return that hasn't needed to be filed for at least 5 years. The second is that apparently the state isn't ready to accept electronic returns. Unfortunately, because the state wasn't ready, the Fed return was also not transmitted. Had to remove the state from e-File and The Fed return was transmitted. Software needs to uncouple the electronic returns and improve the notification messaging.
