I was sort of nervous filing my own taxes because my father normally does it for me, but I finally mustered up the courage to do it on my own and it honestly was pretty easy and was very happy with the result. They help guide you for the better and to get the most. Definitely going to do TurboTax next year!

Free Service with fees

For tax software that states it is free to file simple federal returns with a free state file included. I got charged $65. This is not ok.

I paid for the software for 5 federal and one free state.
It made me pay for every single state I sent. Highly upset considering it asked me if I wanted to use my free state and I selected yes, but ended up paying $20 for every single state. Did this to me last year too.
