AGI mistake by turbo tax

using turbo tax for a decade but last year's return from April 2020 was accepted even though the IRS shows a very different AGI in my transcript. This would not allow me to efile this year (2021). I ended up having to verify with ID.ME which took a whopping 8 hours and then was able to get the AGI the IRS has on file so now finally was able to file. No idea what happened here but I hope my current filing will be accepted.

A little more confusing this year.

This year there were some confusing bits, mostly working out the stimulus payments. There was reference to a third stimulus payment but nothing in the IRS letters referred to it as such, it was also not clear that I had to add the sum from multiple notices. I had to do more research of bank statements and such to be at all confident in what I was doing. The advanced child tax credit was also the same, but you were quite clear that there would be two letters and to had separate entry boxes for each. BTW when entering these you get to see your federal return number at the top plummet right before being told, YAY you got a tax break. That seems like a cruel joke. Then when the summary comes up with year-to-year comparison it looks odd. I got $4000 child credit last year but only $3000 this year and it shows up on a different line making me check several times over. Overall, I have used your software for years with what I think are good results, but I do wonder if I really got it all right, this year more so than usual.

My only real complaint is that the summary after each section does not position at bottom of "page" ready to click the "continue" or "Next Section" when it's finished with an element.
