Annoying interface and final check

Seems to take longer every year to click through the standard screens to find what I need. My wife and I make decent money but don't have any unusual expenses or investments--it should be simpler to find what we're required to enter and move on. Please improve support for backdoor IRA users, and don't flag $0 deductions as an issue (i.e., a $0 childcare prover that we didn't use last year but want to retain on TurboTax records to reference next year).

very poor for international clients

I'm from Germany, have a greencard and a German laptop. Since years I am complaining that I cannot enter numbers into turbotax. Only way to do it is to change the country, language and all settings to US. Then I can't do my German job. Why can't you guys get this fixed. Example: I enter interest as 1,000.24 $ (even with the US numbers format). It then accepts the number as 100,024.00. If I then accidentially come onto that field again it changes it to 10,002,400.00 . Boy what a nuissance. took me forever to figure out the fix which is really bothersome as I have to reboot the laptop each time I enter some info into tt, then reboot to continue working. GET THIS FIXED!!!!!!!!

Simple and Easy

As in the title, filing is made as easy as collecting all the relevant information. Improvement could apply to certain error checking procedures. As example, some fields, when checked, are un-checkable when reviewing/editing, such as the K1 entry process where a list of boxes is displayed. Once a box is checked, it cannot be un-checked in case it was checked in error. Also, although less specific, sometimes data entered (which is later deemed unnecessary, and the section abandoned) will remain in the section and cause an error upon review.

TurboTax is extremely user-friendly. If you have all your paperwork organized, answer all the TurboTax questions and fill in the blanks, this usually horrible experience will be a breeze! I downloaded TurboTax for the first time (instead of getting the CD) and it was very easy.

TurboTax Password Reset Process Is IMPOSSIBLE!

The software is what it is. It missed the fact that based on the entries I was making, I needed to file some additional forms that weren't a standard part of the input process, as they should have been.
EVEN WORSE IS THE PASSWORD RESET FEATURE - IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR PHONE NUMBER SINCE THE LAST FILING! I TRIED THE "FORGOT PASSWORD" FEATURE - 2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION KEPT SENDING THE CODE TO A PHONE NUMBER I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO. I CALLED THE TURBOTAX IVR - IT SENT ME A RESET LINK, BUT AFTER ENTERING THE REQUESTED INFO, COULD NOT FIND MY ACCOUNT, I HAD IT SEND ME AN EMAIL LINK TO RESET MY PASSWORD - ONLY TO LEARN THAT TAKES UPWARDS OF 24 HOURS TO RECEIVE THE EMAIL (USELESS). I TRIED "ANOTHER WAY", AND IT ASKED ME ALL KINDS OF PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION QUESTIONS AND AFTER PROVIDING ALL OF THAT INFO, IT STILL SENT THE AUTHENTICATION CODE TO THE OLD PHONE NUMBER. (NOT HELPFUL). I TRIED TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT AND IT BLOCKED ME, STATING THAT THERE WAS ALREADY AN ACCOUNT WITH THAT EMAIL ADDRESS. I CALLED TURBOTAX AGAIN AN AFTER FIGHTING WITH THE IVR AGAIN, I FINALLY GOT PUT INTO THE HOLD QUEUE FOR A HUMAN. AT LAST, I THOUGHT I WAS MAKING PROGRESS - NO - I PROVIDED THE INFORMATION THAT I WAS ASKED FOR, BUT THEN HE KEPT ASKING FOR ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCOUNT. COME TO FIND IT, IT WAS THE PHONE NUMBER THAT THEIR SYSTEM HAD BEEN TEXTING TO ME, MY CURRENT NUMBER IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCOUNT, JUST NOT FOR RESETTING MY ACCOUNT PASSWORD!!! HOW STUPID IS THAT!!! AS THE TAX DEADLINE IS QUICKLY APPROACHING AND I WASN'T COMFORTABLE TAKING A CHANCE AND WAITING FOR AN EMAIL TO ARRIVE - I FINALLY "FILLED IT OUT ANONYMOUSLY, AND THE FUNNY THING IS - I GOT AN EMAIL IMMEDIATELY STATING THAT MY TAXES HAD BEEN FILED. ***TURBOTAX - YOU REALLY NEED TO FIND A BETTER WAY TO RESET PASSWORDS!*** I AM SURE YOU HAVE THE LONG DELAY IN SENDING EMAILS AS A FRAUD DETERRENT, BUT THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY, ESPECIALLY WHEN TALKING TO A HUMAN - THEY ONLY ASKED ME THE BARE BONES BASIC IDENTIFYING INFORMATION AND SAID ALL I CAN DO IS SEND YOU AN EMAIL THAT WILL ARRIVE IN 24 HOURS, HAD I WAITED ANY LATER, I WOULD STILL BE WAITING FOR THE PASSWORD RESET EMAIL AND HAVE MISSED MY TAX FILING DEADLINE! THIS MAKES ME WANT TO RETHINK WHO I WILL USE NEXT YEAR AS MY TAX-FILING SOFTWARE. I HAVE USED TURBOTAX SINCE THE EARLY 1990s AND AM ABOUT TO RETHINK MY NEXT PURCHASE DECISION!

PROGRAM GETTING WORST

Just as I was about to send the returns in, my return is being rejected due to Schedule 8812 "AdvPaymentQualChildrenSP should be blank", and three similar requirements. I DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN. So, frustrated and frustrating. I finally had to go thru the whole thing and select that I do not qualify for the Child Tax Credit. THEN, I was allowed to send in my returns. Didn't ask this in previous years. Must be a glitch, or bad programming.
