TurboTax Glitch

Filed a 6-month extension with an estimated tax payment using TurboTax. Unbeknownst to me at the time, TurboTax applied a Recovery Rebate Credit before requesting all of the associated information. As a result, the estimated payment was not adequate to cover my complete tax liability, and I ended up having to pay a penalty and interest.

Turbo Tax is a product that is simple and easy to use. I was able to gather my documents and I was able to follow the program to complete my tax return.

First time using Turbo Tax

I used Lacerte to prepare tax returns for over 30 years. After recently retiring, I decided to try Turbo Tax for my personal tax returns. I found it to be a good tool for preparing my tax returns, easy to use and pretty intuitive for a retired tax professional.

Even in Oct - six MONTHS after filing my extension, I still can't get Turbo Tax to let me insert property taxes or prescription costs. I can always count on some unresolvable hassle when it comes to using Turbo Ta.

Turbo Tax Login

I have been a longtime user of Turbo Tax. Each time I try to login to Turbo Tax, it doesn't recognize my id or password. It takes me to help page to get a verification code and then I have to change the password again. Even after doing this, it still doesn't recognize my password. This is frustrating.

Making it Dang near impossible to not e-file state and pay the added $25. And they want to make it impossible to pay this added charge without buying Turbo Tax next year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Due to health issues, I could not file in April, and filing for an extension and then completing the return in six months was a process that would have taken me uch longer without Turbo Tax clear instructions.
