TurboTax is painful.

They don't know the difference between a 1099 and a NEC. Tries to create a new company every time it you enter one or the other. I use this because I have always used it. They do not make this easy for someone that needs limited step by step. They expect you to spend days entering a bunch of stuff that is not needed.

For 9 days have been filing & refiling my return which was rejected. Sarah would read up on topics before answering. She asked questions that others asked.....but....SHE asked about EVERYTHING. Whow....after 12 days.........Finally!!!!!

Too expensive

We have been using TTax forever (30+/- years?). I did my mother's (retired) taxes and our own. We moved from OR to VA and my mother lives in PA, so had to purchase two additional state versions.I will be looking elsewhere next year. I have talked to others and I paid way too much.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

An Excellent Product with a few Annoying flaws

Great product that guides you through every step possible on Federal and State Returns. Annoying issues are mainly 2: entries for numbers sometimes require clicking in the entry box (rather than by default) and any time you need to back step through an entry process it "forgets" SOME of your prior entries. Just stay on your toes. Fortunately the final return check will find these incomplete fields.

There is too much crap in the system.

Turbo Tax takes me down every rathole in the tax code. If it is not relevant to me, it should not take me twenty five minutes to escape some obscure tax credit query. Why do you find it necessary to direct this review. Let me tell you instead of select your programmed message. My wife died last year...there is no pre-select for that!
BTY - I never did get my tax refund from 2020!
