TURBO TAX was easy to follow and informed me of any errors within my tax returns. I did not communicate with an advisor; however when asked about signing out of turbo tax, I was given helpful information

I have had a great relationship with Turbotax until now . It seems that my return was accepted be the Federal irs but I havent gotten my refund yet.how do I check what the problem is.

Great, except for late filers.

The software would be great if I had filed on time or had an extension. The software says up front I can't e-file, but then makes it seem like "oh, if you pay a fee AND pay us $50, we'll e-file for you". This sent me down a rabbit hole that took more time than actually doing the taxes, before it led me back to "you can't e-file". I was dreading getting back into this software, so I went to IRS web site for where to mail taxes. It gives a different address than you give, but that was for 2022. A call to the IRS leads nowhere; the automated system says my question is "too complicated" and hangs up on me. Trying to find out on the IRS web site where to send late taxes was no help either, because it directs me to a notice that was mailed to me when I lived in a different city. I've lived in 6 different cities since 2019. Next, I'm going to try sending Intuit a message. I would gladly pay extra for peace of mind knowing your software had been updated for late filers. Again, this would not be a problem if I had filed on time without extensive delay, but if you're going to sell a product, make sure it's still viable for the customer.

Still room for improvement

I've used TurboTax for over a decade. I love that I don't have to understand all the regulations and tax jargon, but it's still lacking in some ways. We shouldn't have to manual input data from our W-2s, 1099-xs, and other forms. With the state of the PDF, TurboTax should be able to import PDF documents into TurboTax and it should extract whatever data is relevant. If these legal forms aren't using semantic formatting, surely software lobbyist can convince the Federal government of the advantages of doing so.
